Ward는 기본적으로 어떤 데이터도 수집하거나 외부로 전송하지 않습니다.
선택 기능인 Ward Cloud 동기화를 직접 켠 경우에만, 아래 명시된 데이터가 본인 계정의
클라우드 저장소로 전송됩니다.
기본 (로그인하지 않은 경우)
- 저장되는 것: 사용자가 직접 저장한 북마크(유튜브 재생 시각·자막 발췌·페이지 제목·URL,
선택 텍스트·메모)와 폴더·설정. 전부 사용자 브라우저의 로컬 저장소(chrome.storage.local)에만
저장됩니다.
- 전송되는 것: 없습니다. 분석(analytics)·광고·트래킹 코드를 포함하지 않습니다.
- 제3자 제공·판매: 없습니다.
- 데이터 삭제: 익스텐션 안에서 북마크를 삭제하거나, 익스텐션을 제거하면 모든 데이터가
함께 삭제됩니다.
Ward Cloud 동기화를 켠 경우 (선택, 유료 구독)
- 계정: Google 계정으로 로그인하면 이메일 주소가 인증 목적으로 저장됩니다
(Supabase 인증 서비스 사용).
- 동기화되는 것: 위의 북마크·폴더 데이터가 본인 계정에 귀속된 클라우드 데이터베이스에
저장되어 본인의 다른 기기·모바일 웹 뷰어에서만 조회할 수 있습니다. 다른 사용자는
접근할 수 없습니다(행 수준 보안).
- 결제: 결제는 Paddle이 처리하며 Ward는 카드 정보를 저장하지 않습니다. 구독 상태

- 분석·광고·트래킹: 동기화를 켜도 없습니다.
- 데이터 삭제: 로그아웃하면 전송이 중단됩니다. 클라우드 데이터 삭제를 원하시면
아래 연락처로 요청해 주세요. 구독이 끝나도 로컬 데이터와 클라우드 조회는 유지됩니다.

권한은 위 기능에만 사용되며, 페이지 내용을 저장하는 것은 사용자가 명시적으로
저장 동작(단축키·저장 버튼)을 했을 때뿐입니다.
English
By default, Ward does not collect or transmit any data.
Only if you explicitly enable the optional Ward Cloud sync is the data listed below
sent to cloud storage tied to your own account.
Default (not signed in)
- What is stored: Only the bookmarks you explicitly save (YouTube timestamp, caption
excerpt, page title, URL, selected text, your notes) plus your folders and settings —
all kept exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local).
- What is transmitted: Nothing. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.
- Third parties: No data is shared or sold.
- Deletion: Delete bookmarks inside the extension, or uninstall it — all data is
removed with it.
With Ward Cloud sync enabled (optional, paid subscription)
- Account: Signing in with Google stores your email address for authentication
(via Supabase Auth).
- What is synced: Your bookmarks and folders are stored in a cloud database tied to
your account, visible only to you across your devices and the mobile web viewer
(enforced with row-level security).
- Payments: Handled by Paddle; Ward never stores card details. Only your subscription
state (active, period end) is kept. Paddle privacy policy: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy
- Analytics/ads/tracking: None, even with sync on.
- Deletion: Signing out stops transmission. To delete cloud data, contact us below.
Local data and cloud viewing remain available after a subscription ends.
